Susan small maxi dress

Vibrant, fun & gorgeous is how I would describe this Susan small maxi dress!

This was my friend sylvs find, she fell in love with it & it was going to be a keeper!

Sadly when she got it home and tried it on it was too small. It's a size 12 but fits more like a size 10. Vintage sewing pattern - 1960's cape size medium

* sigh * It's times like these that I wish I could sew........ It was the beautiful illustration that caught my eye. How fabulously glamorous do those lovely ladies look in their stylish capes? This pattern has been cut and used, which only adds to the intrigue...... Who was the original owner of this pattern... What material did they chose to make their gorgeous cape with?

Does the cape still exist? Is there a photo of them proudly wearing it somewhere?..... I wish I knew.....
